The computer lab this class is held in has Windows and Office XP
Four different classes offered

Level 1: Create, save, open, close, and print Excel spreadsheets.  Basic workbook input skills and range selection techniques will be covered.   Basic formula creation and simple functions will be covered in this session.  Cut, copy and paste, and fill down both text and formulas to increase productivity.  Formatting of numbers, text, and page layout give your spreadsheets a finished look.  
Prerequisite: Word Level 1

Level 2: The database features of Excel will be fully explained in this session, letting you sort data and add criteria. Making templates, which is an often-misunderstood process, will be simplified for you. Other interesting features include data validation, conditional formatting, and creation of subtotals spreadsheets.  The chart wizard can help you create graphs to present your data.  Customizing charts created with the wizard is also covered. Drawing tool can serve a number of useful purposes in worksheets including making forms. Prerequisite: Excel Level 1  (6 hours - $17.50 text)

Level 3: This course will show how to utilize multiple worksheets and how to create 3-D formulas.  Logical functions, using the IF statement, along with lookup functions, rounding functions, date functions and financial functions will be covered in this class. The paste special feature will be explored. Range names and labels will make formulas easier to create. Protecting forms will prevent accidental deletion of the formulas. Prerequisite: Excel Level 2  (6 hours - $17.50 text)

Level 4: Formula creation can often be simplified using the consolidation feature in Excel. Recording macros is a tool that can be utilized in many situations.  Large databases can be summarized easily using the pivot table feature. Higher-level functions will be explored. Sharing workbooks and working with comments, as well as Data maps, and auditing tools will be covered.  Scenarios, goal seeking, problem solver, and data tables will make forecasting and predicting easier than ever. Prerequisite: Excel Level 3  (6 hours - $17.50 text)
