An 80-hour course to prepare a Kansas CNA for the state CMA certification exam. Clinical arranged with the instructor. Copy of Kansas CNA certificate, state ID and social security card required for enrollment. Enrollees must provide proof of a negative TB test. | |
At time of enrollment you need: Tuition (Book and State Test Fee included in tuition) Copy of driver's license or picture ID Copy of Social Security card (social security numbers are verified) Proof of citizenship (Alien Registration Card I-151) Passed 8th grade English reading (Tested within the last 2 years) Copy of current Kansas CNA card Copy of Negative TB test (Tested within the last 12 months) Additional Text: Drug Guide Book ($44.00) to be purchased from ATS Bookstore The Kansas Bureau of Health and Environment requires all individuals to pass an 8th grade English reading test before enrolling in: Certified Nurse Aide, Certified Medication Aide, or Home Health Aide. To meet this requirement, a 37-minute test will be given at ATS on the following Wednesdays at 1:00 pm. The test is timed and begins promptly at 1:00 pm, so please arrive at least 15 minutes early.
Completion of the reading test and proof of 8th grade English reading level does not automatically enroll individuals in class or reserve a spot in class. Applicants still must go through the enrollment process. If you test at a test site other than ATS, you could be charged an additional $20.00 fee by that testing site. Refund Information: Full refund if you notify the school of withdrawal by last business day before class begins. Half refund if you notify the school of withdrawal after the first class session. No refund if you notify the school of withdrawal after the second class session.
