ATS Continuing Education classes are designed for adults 18 or older who are no longer in high school, or others with a GED or high school diploma.
Middle and high school students ages 14-18 may enroll in some Continuing Education classes, and pay tuition at the out-of-state rate of $10.65 per clock hour.
Continuing Education certificates are issued to those who complete the course.

Enrollment Information

In Person at the Area Technical School - 2220 N. 59^th ► Kansas City, Kansas (cash, check, money order, Discover, MasterCard, or VISA)

By Mail - complete the enrollment form and mail to ATS at least 10 days prior to class starting date (check, money order, Discover, MasterCard, or VISA)

By Phone - (913) 627 - 4100 (Discover, MasterCard, or VISA)

By Fax - complete the enrollment form and fax to (913) 627 - 4109 at least 10 days prior to class starting date (Discover, MasterCard, or VISA)
No confirmation will be sent
You'll be notified only if class is full, there is insufficient enrollment for the class to make, or the class is rescheduled

If school is canceled in KCK USD 500 due to weather or other conditions, there will be no ATS classes

Tuition and Fees

Tuition is based on length of class

Out-of-state is $10.65 per clock hour
Senior citizens 62 and older, USD 500 and USD 203 employees pay half tuition
Service charge for returned checks is $15

Textbooks

Purchase textbooks (if required) from the ATS bookstore
Bookstore hours:

School days - 7:00am – 3:00pm

Monday - Thursday evenings - 5:30pm – 7:30pm

Refunds

Full refund when class is canceled by ATS
Full refund when you notify school of withdrawal by last business day before class begins
Half refund when you notify school of withdrawal by last business day before the third class session
No refund after third class session
Refunds take 30 days to process
